Architectural Abstractions" was curated by the two prestigious art critics Leonardo Conti and Gianluca Marziani and includes an introduction by Daniela Porro, Special Superintendent for Rome of the Italian Ministry of Cultural Heritage. The catalogue inlcudes the best of Carlo D'Orta's fine art photography, covering a time-span of now over 20 years.
In addition to the preface by Daniela Porro and the critical texts by Conti and Marziani, the book collects two other important critical texts by Andrea Ciresola and Matteo Galbiati and 22 highly authoritative testimonies of people (entrepreneurs, art critics, gallery owners, collectors) who have known and appreciated the artistic work of D'Orta, including Vincenzo Boccia (president of the Luiss University and former President of Confindustria), Valerio Dehò (Artistic Director of the TRA-Treviso Art Research), Alfio Mongelli (founder and president of RUFA-Rome University of Fine Arts), Francesco Genuardi (Consul General of Italy in New York), Alberto Sasso (President of EUR spa) and Paolo Feroce (Head of Collections of the PAM Museum).
The catalogue includes 250 works from the main fine art photography series by Carlo D’Orta: Vibrations, Biocities, Geometrie Still Life, (Re) FineArt and (De) Compositions.
The catalogie also contains a biography of the Artist, the list of the main public and museum collections in which his works are present, the list of international and national awards won or in which he was a finalist and the list of his solo and group exhibitions which he has participated in in Italy and in many countries abroad from 2009 to today.
