The catalogue includes the new series of works by César Meneghetti born as part of the I/O _ I IS AN OTHER project.
Lasting four years, the research phase of this work involved more than 200 people with mental disabilities living in Rome, in a multidisciplinary work carried out with the Art Laboratories of the Community of Sant'Egidio. The Brazilian artist wanted to investigate a borderline condition, in which the disabled people he met presented themselves just as people, fully capable of producing thoughts, spaces and visions, people who know, remember, evaluate, operate, love, create.
The outcome of the research, narrated in the pages of this catalogue, questions the idea of ability / disability, often based on prejudice.
